If we were meeting in person, I wouldn’t start with a pitch. We’d sit down, grab a coffee, and talk about what’s on your mind—the challenge you’re wrestling with, the decision you need to make, or the opportunity that feels just out of reach. I’d listen, ask a few questions, and help you start seeing things more clearly. That’s what working with me feels like.

I’m Mark Bissell, an executive coach, leadership consultant, and fractional Chief Customer Officer for leaders and organizations navigating pivotal moments. My work is built on two things: deep business experience and genuine curiosity about people.

  • I spent 25 years in senior leadership roles within VC and PE backed SaaS companies and navigated three successful exits. Along the way, I led teams through scaling challenges, strategic pivots, market shifts, and high-pressure quarters where every decision mattered.

    Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping people—teammates, peers, and even my own leaders—find their footing, gain clarity, and succeed in a way that felt sustainable. That became the most fulfilling part of my work.

    Eventually, I hit my own inflection point. On paper, I was winning. But inside, I knew I needed space to slow down and figure out what came next. During that pause, I realized I wanted to spend my time helping others do exactly that: create the clarity, confidence, and alignment they need to move forward with intention.

    I’ve been successful at leading and advising. Making the investment to become a certified coach has made me a better consultant and advisor, and the years of experience I’ve had as a successful leader make me a more effective coach.

  • Working with me is not about getting a cookie-cutter plan or a pre-written playbook. You already have a lot of the answers—you just may not have had the space, or the right conversation, to uncover them. My role is to create that space, ask the questions no one else will, and help you see your situation more clearly so you can act with conviction.
